59 fresh pharmacists were conferred their doctoral degrees at the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Pharmacy on 1 July 2022 in the congress hall of the Attila József Study and Information Centre of the University of Szeged.

On June 30, 2022, the new leaders and honorees of the faculties, departments, institutes, clinics, and institutions of the University of Szeged were greeted. The awards were presented by Rector László Rovó and Chancellor Judit Fendler.

On April 27, 2022, the Doctoral Council of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences organized the public discussion of Dezső Csupor's (associate professor, Institute of Pharmacognosy, Institute of Clinical Pharmacy, University of Szeged) doctoral dissertation on the safety and efficacy of medicinal plants ant their active substances in the light of phytochemical and pharmacological studies.

The national higher education scholarship can be applied for a full academic year, the amount is HUF 40,000 per month.

University of Angers invites students to Summer Schools 2022!

International Summer Schools at University of Angers offer the opportunity to develop academic skills in a great environment. Each program includes lectures, workshops, applied visits and an attractive social program.

For first-hand information regarding the offered international study programmes at the University of Szeged we are preparing 2 Online Open Day sessions. One of the sessions will be dedicated for Health Programmes while the other session will be dedicated for Non-health Programmes.

The series of events of the University Day of the University of Szeged concluded with a Ceremony of Awarding Honorary Doctorates to nine internationally renowned researchers with outstanding scientific work and successful relations with the University of Szeged. At the suggestion of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Rudolf Bauer was appointed Doctor Honoris Causa.

Four pharmacists including one who completed the English-language program were conferred their doctoral degrees at the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences on 11 November 2021.

Dear Pharmacy Students,

Because the daily number of specimen collection from individuals exhibiting the symptoms of the COVID-19 virus has exceeded 8000, placing an enormous burden on the National Ambulance Service, we are asking for your help.

In order to ensure the smooth start of the semester and to protect public health, the University of Szeged provides PCR tests for its international students.

Questionnaires can be completed by July 15, 2021. Student feedback is extremely important to ensure the quality of training.

All three parts of the final examination of pharmacy students will be conducted in the conventional way, considering restrictive public health measures. Detailed information about the exams is available in the CooSpace scene Pharmacist Final Exam 2020 June.

The University of Szeged is ranked among the best 200 universities in the world in the latest Times Higher Education ranking, which examined the higher education economy, social impact and responsibility of the institution. In the ranking which is based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nation, SZTE is the best Hungarian institution with the ranking 101–200th place.

Besides national rankings focusing on student and teaching excellence, international rankings measuring academic activities are continuously classifying SZTE among the world’s prestigious universities. According to QS World University Rankings the SZTE is the best university in Hungary, and is among the world’s most elite universities in several subject rankings. On the national HVG ranking list, SZTE was listed the first in Hungary out of the capital.

Once again, Advent became a shared experience at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Szeged when, during the last three weeks of term-time, students, lecturers and workers of the faculty came together four times to sing well-known Christmas carols.

Indonesian delegation has arrived to the University of Szeged on the 27 February 2015 with the intention of cooperation. Joining the representatives of Indonesian higher education institutions, Ambassadress Wening Esthyprobo Fatandari also visited Szeged.
