The aim of the scholarship is to encourage the highest-performing students in the foreign language pharmacy program, which is available to self-funded students in the pharmacy program. The top 5% of the students may become eligible (currently 5-6 students each semester) for the scholarship. The Faculty Board evaluated the applicants’ academic performance and provided a tuition-fee deduction to ease the cost of their training for four students who fulfilled the application requirements.

Zahra Adib Zadeh – 2nd year pharmacy student from Iran
szte-gytk-excellene-in-pharmacy-25_9_of_12Being chosen as an Excellence in Pharmacy student is more than an achievement; it is a daily source of inspiration. Szeged is a fantastic place to study. It is peaceful, full of charm, and has a strong academic spirit that makes learning feel natural.

The University of Szeged ranks among the top 600 universities worldwide, and its pharmacy program is the best in Hungary, reflecting the university’s strong academic reputation and commitment to pharmaceutical education.

My goal is to become a skilled pharmacist who understands the science behind every treatment. I am especially passionate about pathophysiology and biochemistry this semester, which guides me straight into the world of diseases and molecular mechanisms. It is fascinating how these subjects reveal the hidden logic of the human body. Every day here feels like a step forward. I am excited to see where this journey leads.

Zahra Hosseini – 4th year pharmacy student from Iran
szte-gytk-excellene-in-pharmacy-25_11_of_12The reason I chose the University of Szeged was its good university and friendly environment. Meanwhile, I realized that our dean and vice dean are approachable and understanding. They genuinely care about students, listen to our concerns, and do their best to help whenever issues arise, especially with the curriculum. Our professors are also incredibly supportive and respectful. I appreciate the fact that the faculty supports me inside and outside of the university.

My favorite subjects so far are pharmaceutical technology, pharmacodynamics, and biopharmacy. Combining these subjects creates such an interesting and powerful perspective on how medicines are developed and how they truly work in real life.

Living in Szeged has been a unique experience; it’s a calm and student-friendly city, which makes it ideal for focusing on my studies. The city’s atmosphere encourages concentration and academic growth, while the active student committee ensures there are always opportunities for engagement and connection.

Outside of the university, I love playing tennis, swimming, and traveling. Szeged offers all the opportunities to pursue my hobbies, making it a great place to live.

Nima Sejoudi - 5th year Pharmacy Student
szte-gytk-excellene-in-pharmacy-25_10_of_12I am truly honored to have been recognized as the Excellent Pharmacy Student at the University of Szeged, and I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the professors and faculty members who have supported and guided me along this journey. Their encouragement and commitment to academic excellence have been a constant source of inspiration throughout my studies.

Over the past few years, I have found the University of Szeged to be a place that perfectly combines intellectual rigor with a welcoming and motivating atmosphere. Szeged’s intimate size and strong sense of community create endless opportunities for students to explore their interests beyond the classroom.

Alongside my studies, I have continued to pursue one of my greatest passions, music. As a professional musician, I am proud to represent my culture each year at the university’s International Cultural Event (ICE), where I perform traditional Iranian music.

Among all my courses, Pharmaceutical Chemistry has become my favorite subject and the focus of my diploma thesis. Living and studying in Szeged has been much more than an academic experience; it has been a journey of growth, curiosity, and discovery.

Being recognized as the Excellent Pharmacy Student is both a great honor and a motivation to continue pursuing excellence, with the same passion, dedication, and gratitude that have guided me so far.
